I am an adimirer of Mr. Liu in that he was a respectable person who took his life and belief seriously. He was not only an adventurer as an anthropologist, but also a very creative artist, whose watercolor paintings are still loved by people in Taiwan, including myself, and you I guess. And you might have a very fresh impression of his noble son,劉寧生, who just came back sailing around the world on a classic handmade sailboat only to find he couldn't make history because of the tragic ship whreckage before its last stop, Hong-Kong. To be honest, I enjoy things about art as much as you do. I myself also do some sketchings sometimes. Good things to enjoy, aren't they?
Hi Jeff, from now on, I need to show my respect while talking to you.
You will surprise to know that I actually know very little about painting or aritist. I follow my own mood to draw, not thru studying from some great piece of works or some great artists.
For a period, my orders of breakfast time is reading, breakfast, painting. And all of them finish in around one hour. Cool, right? I pretty enjoy it.
I don't really care how people think of my drawing. I laugh when hearing comments. Drawing itself bring me the happiness, not the comments.
But I do know Mr. Max Liu. With all respect, he is a dream maker. All his life is like an impossible dream to all other people. His son, the Capatine Liu, is anothr dream maker. He ever said, achieve one dream, then discover another bigger one.
I am a dream maker too. But I realzize a small dream is easier for me and can make myself happier. Like do some sketches in the breakfast time or in a train, or in a library. Or walking in the river at evening to see the sunset.
Jeff, it's my honor to know you. To talk to a man on photographing is no big deal. But to the same man on writing, or painting, or both, is something rare. At least, you are the first man I know who are interested on all of them in the same time. Haha... must be my lucky day...
Hi, Lisa. I'm flattered by your words. I'm not that special. Well, in my opinion, there is no surprise that we met. I took it as coincidence, meaning people with the same temperament tend to be attracted by each other. Your attitude toward life bears much resemblance with mine. Freedom, beauty, emancipation, ever-pursuing the possibilities in life, these are some of the words that keep inspiring me much. In my eyes, you’re blessed because you are free to quest your dreams. It doesn’t matter how much you know about art or paintings, you are already living a very artistic and poetic life. So, lucky Lisa, it’s my privilege to know you, too.
